Chicken in creamy tomato gravy
Makes: 1 kg chicken
1 kg chicken
5 tomatoes (400g)
1 cup milk
200g cream / malai
Marinate 1 kg chicken pieces with 4 tbsp oil and 50g Nimkish Butter Chicken Masala. Allow to rest for 15 minutes in refrigerator. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and add marinated chicken pieces, cover and cook for 7 – 10 minutes until tender. Now add 5 (400g) crushed tomatoes and sauté for 5 – 7 minutes till oil separates. Add 1 cup milk and keep on stirring on high heat for 2 minutes. Then, add 200g cream/beaten malai and cook with covered lid for 3-5 minutes. Garnish with cream and coriander.
For sweet gravy add 3-4 tbsp tomato ketchup while adding cream.
Tip: If in hurry, use boneless chicken following the same recipe.
